Steam Helo 12 Commercial
The Helo Steam 12 Commercial is a steam generator for commercial installations, built for heavy use and high output. It runs continuously for up to 24 hours, which is the main difference from the home model. Designed for public steam rooms like spas, hotels, and gyms.
It works with one of Helo's control panels, Pure or Elite, sold separately. The generator talks to the panel both ways, so steam output and temperature are monitored and adjusted automatically. For fragrance, you need the Elite panel.
For larger rooms you can connect several generators together (Multisteam), up to three units linked as one system. This needs a sync cable, bought separately. With Multisteam the steam doesn't stop completely during automatic draining, because at least one unit keeps producing steam. The patented shared power setup keeps water use and energy consumption low across linked units.
The Commercial has three AUX inputs, so you can run several extras at once like a fragrance pump, lighting, and a fan. The home model only has one.
Automatic flushing comes as standard. The tank also drains on its own about an hour after shutoff, emptying roughly 9 litres in around 20 seconds, so the unit needs a proper drain leading to a channel outside the steam room. Incoming water pressure has to be between 0.2 and 10 bar. This is a plumbed-in unit.
How often you descale depends on your water and how much you run it. For public use with continuous operation, a water softener is usually needed above 4°dH, and at high hardness the unit shouldn't be run without treated water. Soft water needs very little descaling.
Power is 12 kW. The right size depends on steam room volume, wall type, and ventilation. A light wall of glass or plastic holds heat differently than a heavy wall of tile, concrete or stone, so the same unit covers a different range depending on the build.
Steam room volume (m³) at 12 kW:
Light wall: 14 to 22 m³ with ventilation, 22 to 30 m³ without.
Heavy wall: 8 to 15 m³ with ventilation, 14 to 20 m³ without.
Steam production is about 16 kg/h, water consumption about 16 l/h.
Reservoir holds about 8.4 litres in use. Weight with water is 29 kg.
